ITS Web Services

Web Services is an initiative of Murdoch University's Office of IT Services to provide web solutions and site hosting services to the Murdoch community. We offer a high level of strategic, creative and technical expertise through our experienced team of designers and programmers.

Web site Design:

The Web Services team work with you to design the look and feel of your site, using the very latest tools and technology. And our familiarity with the University's technical and design standards ensures our service is always cost-effective and efficient.

Graphic Design and image preparation:

Our in-house and contract designers have the experience to give your site the style you want, and we can digitise, enhance and optimise all your photographic and graphic images.

Content preparation:

No matter what form your content is in - MS Word, straight text, or even scribbled on the back of an envelope - we will review and convert it to clean, clear HTML copy.

Web templates:

Customised web templates provide a consistent and professional look for your site, and allow quick and easy ongoing site maintenance.

Enhanced features:

Control access to your content through Murdoch's authentication and identification system (MAIS); collect data from your online users with our mail template, and have the information automatically emailed to you; or if your web site changes frequently, manage it simply by linking your web pages directly to a database.

Search engine listing:

We make sure your pages and headings are optimised for indexing by Murdoch Campus Search and external search engines. Appropriate entries are also made in the Murdoch A-Z Index.

Update notification:

Let us know how often you want to update each of your web pages and we will automatically contact you to arrange a review.

Site maintenance:

If finding someone technical in your section is a problem, we will look after your web pages for you. We'll help you keep your information up to date, and we're always on hand to make quick alterations or amendments.

Training and advice:

ITS Web provides on-site training for your web staff covering Murdoch standards, code of conduct and style guide, as well as telephone help and advice on all web-related topics.
