Respondus Campus-wide License Agreement

Murdoch University has signed a "Respondus Campus-wide License Agreement"  with Respondus Inc that allows the latest version of the Respondus software to be used by staff for the preparation of questionaries in exchange for the payment of the annual license fee.

Contract Summary

  • The Respondus agreement is an annual rental agreement and as such the Respondus software acquired under this agreement may only be used if the annual license fee has been paid. All use must cease on the expiry date unless subsequently the annual license fee paid.
  • The Respondus license runs from 01-January to 31st December each year.
  • The software license covers use by all staff for the creation of quizzes, surveys and self-tests.
  • Use by students to create such material is not allowed.
  • The license install codes must not be supplied to third parties, including Murdoch Staff.

Home Use

  • Staff may install and use the Software on a computer located off the premises of the campus provided that they do not provide access to the Software to individuals who are not affiliated with Murdoch University
  • Student use is NOT allowed either on or off campus under the Respondus agreement

Licence Documentation

All ITLOs installing Respondus software purchased via this "Respondus Volume License Agreement" need to read and be aware of the conditions documented above.

Ordering Licenses and CD Media

CD Media should not be required as the install media can be access via the campus network and authorised IT staff will perform all on campus installations. As this is commercial software the installation media is only a accessible by staff.

Manuals

Manuals other than those supplied electronically with the software will need to be purchase separately if required.

Installing

For on-campus installs academic staff should contact their local IT support person or the IT Service Desk to have this software installed.

IT Support staff requiring access to the software staff need to:
