IT Project Services

The Office of Information Technology Services contributes to the initiation, coordination and management of strategic IT projects undertaken by or for Murdoch University.

Staff in the various sections of the Office of Information Technology Services may also take on the role of Project Manager for IT projects.

The Information Systems section may liaise with other areas of the University to assess requirements for proposed projects and to facilitate the completion of Project Proposals (aka Project Initiation Forms). These proposals are forwarded for funding consideration to the Information Technology Management Committee (ITMC) who determine if they are strategic and sufficiently worthy.

All approved projects are managed according to the APT Systems Life Cycle methodology.

Staff within the Office of Information Technology Services play a role in supporting IT projects, undertaking a variety of tasks within the complete spectrum of project life cycle. The Information Systems section has a significant role in this area where such projects involve application software.

The IT Projects Coordinator coordinates the monitoring of strategic projects by ITMC.
