University ID Cardsinformation for students | information for staff Student Identification cardStudent Identification Cards are obtained from the Information Technology (IT) Service Desk just inside the Library. During orientation week there are often additional areas setup for photos and card collection - orientation information packs will provide details of any alternate locations. The information provided on the front of your Student Identification Card consists of your full name, photo, student number and a barcode. The reverse side has a magnetic strip enabling you to use your card as a 'cash card' for photocopying and printing on campus. Credit can be added to your Student Identification card using the machines provided in the Library, and this credit can be utilised when you need to photocopy or print in the Library or print in General Computing Laboratories. In addition to this, the Student Identification Card is also used for Enhanced Internet Access through the Student Network. The credit that you have on your card for Enhanced Internet Access is commonly known as 'Student Quota'. The first time you use your card for photocopying or printing services you will have to set a 4-digit PIN number. This number will be required for future usage, so choose a number that you can remember easily. You will need your Student Identification Card for:
If you lose your card, a replacement one can be obtained from the IT Service Desk, located inside the Library on the South Street Campus, or from the Library HelpDesk at the Rockingham Campus, or the Loans Desk at the Peel Campus.
